O2 Broadband Answers
Q. Does O2 Broadband have unlimited downloads?
Yes, subject to the fair use policy which in comparison to some is pretty, well, fair.
Q. Why is O2 Broadband so fast?
O2 Broadband uses ADSL2+ technology which is able to get more
out of the same copper telephone wires as normal ADSL. This
allows them to offer much higher speeds than most other ISPs.
Q. Who can get the discount?
Now any O2 mobile user is eligble for the discount on O2 Broadband.
Q. What do I have to do to get the discount?
Pay monthly customers don't have to do anything. Prepay customers need to top-up by at least £10 every 3 months.
Why can't I get O2 Broadband?
Despite covering over 14 million premises you may not live in an area currently covered by O2 but not to worry as they are constantly working to access new areas.

O2 Prepay customers will be jumping up and down with glee today as they get the news they've been waiting for. No, iPhones aren't being given away for free, but O2 Broadband might as well be.
Since O2 entered the broadband world it has been offering O2 Pay Monthly mobile customers a hefty discount on its 8Mb, 16Mb and 20Mb broadband packages.
Well, now O2 is giving this benefit away to Prepay mobile users too.
Cheaper and fast
This leaves all O2 mobile customers eligible for the following prices:
All O2 Broadband connections come with unlimited downloads, free connection, free O2 wireless box and free 24/7 customer service.
Non-O2 customers pay £5 per month more than these prices but still get very good value for money.
Very few catches
In order to qualify for the discount, O2 Prepay customers will have to sign a 12 month O2 Broadband contract and top-up their mobiles by a minimum £10 once every 3 months. That's just 50p a week.
If you don't top-up then O2 Broadband will charge the normal monthly price.
Happily, O2 says that Prepay customers already with O2 Broadband will have the discount automatically applied to their account.
A bright future
Whether this move has been planned for a while or is a recent development we can’t be sure but what we do know is that it is the latest in what seems like a tit-for-tat price war amongst the big broadband providers.
Only recently the likes of Orange, Virgin Media and Tiscali have all slashed broadband prices in a bid to win extra custom.
With this offer O2 Broadband is showing that they mean business and are looking to establish themselves as one of the UK’s best broadband providers.
