IF you have managed to persuade your boss to let you work from your south-facing patio instead of the 17th floor of a glum office block, you really need something more than a basic consumer broadband package.

For an incredibly reasonable price, the Demon HomeOffice 8000 broadband package gets a resounding two-thumbs up from Choose's home-working 'patio team' (as we like to call them!).
Static IP address
The Demon HomeOffice 8000 broadband package offers up to 8Mb unlimited Demon broadband, but you'll also get a static IP address (so you can set up a VPN), unlimited Demon email addresses, rock-solid e-mail security and a rather nifty Demon Dial Companion for sending email and accessing the Internet when you are away from base.
Usefully for home office users who still deal with people who insist on faxing (who on earth faxes things anymore?) will appreciate Demon Broadband's free electronic fax service which allows you to receive faxes - via your broadband connection - straight to your printer or desktop.
Unfortunately they don't offer a fax sending service.
