WE'LL probably never know what was going through the minds of their founders when they decided to call their company Madasafish, but we have to say, the name has never hindered them from providing one of the UK's best broadband services.
But seriously... Madasafish? What does that even mean??
One of the best
Nonetheless, Madasafish is considered by many to be one of the best small broadband providers out there and it consistently scores well for customer service and reliability.
Madasafish will never win awards for being the cheapest broadband provider, just as Bang & Olufsen will never be knocking out £99 plasma TV's. Madasafish have positioned themselves firmly - and proudly - as the sensibly priced broadband provider.
Plusnet
Big news however is that Madasafish has merged with Plusnet (who in turn is owned by BT). This in itself does not appear to be a bad thing as Plusnet continues to score very highly in our broadband satisfaction polls, but only time will tell whether Madasafish's excellent support will continue at its current level, or whether the new bosses will take more of a bottom-line approach and sacrifice the 'extra mile' type of support that gained Madasafish so many fans.
All three of Madasafish's broadband packages offer the same 8Mb speeds with the only difference being the usage allowance. This Madasafish Max Plus package offers a download limit of 20GB a month, which should cover just about everyone's needs.
Wireless kit
Considering the reasonable price for this Madasafish Max Plus broadband package, we're quite impressed that you get a free wireless networking kit with the deal which includes a D-link router as well as a USB wireless adaptor. That's an offer even Billy the Bass would be impressed with!
All Madasafish broadband packages, including this one, include a free static IP address (great for home businesses and gamers), as well as free email virus protection and spam filtering.
Also, if you switch your line rental to Madasafish (which is a pound cheaper than BT line rental), you'll get free evening and weekend calls to all UK landlines.
