TOPPING our polls as one of the best small broadband providers around, the fabulously named Madasafish offers three broadband packages of identical specification with the only difference being the download usage cap, and of course the price.
Download cap
This Madasafish Max package offers speeds of up to 8Mb but is held back by a download cap of 5GB. As such this is really only suitable for web browsing and emails. Admittedly, 5GB still offers a fair amount of usage.
After all 5GB should allow you to download around the equivalent of 100 CD's.
For the price, this Madasafish Max broadband is indeed a good package - especially in light of Madasafish's impressive collection of awards - many of them on the back of the company's excellent customer care record.
Plusnet
It is important to keep in mind though that Madasafish has just merged with Plusnet, but continues to operate as an independent brand. It is still early days, but the merger doesn't appear to have affected Madasafish's famously thorough customer support.
The other good news is that Plusnet is in fact an excellent provider themselves, so is unlikely to sully the good name of Madasafish.
Wireless kit
As a bonus, this Madasafish package comes equipped with a free wireless networking kit which is quite unusual for packages of this price. The wireless networking kit includes both a wireless router as well as a wireless adaptor, so even if your PC or laptop isn't equipped to receive wireless signals, it is now!
Apple Mac users who have struggled to find compatible, reliable broadband providers will be glad to know that Madasafish broadband is Mac compatible.
The Madasafish Max broadband package - like all other Madasafish broadband packages - includes a free static IP address.
