T-Mobile Mobile Broadband PlusIndependent review with up to date prices, details and special offers for this package...
T- mobile broadband review: Mobile Pay MonthlyT-MOBILE are definitely flavour of the month in terms of mobile broadband packages at the moment. A recent independent test by P3 was conducted across 16 different mobile broadband providers, and T-Mobile beat its competitors hands down for upload and download speeds, downloading 25% faster than any of its nearest rivals and uploading 60% faster! T-Mobile has unsurprisingly, also recently published it's YouGov results on it's website, which reveal that T-Mobile has been voted number one in mobile broadband for download and upload speeds, customer service, easy start up, ease of use and value for money. We'd certainly like to see more mobile broadband providers who don't charge extra for going over usage allowances. 'Unlimited' Downloads Both T-Mobile's Broadband Plus and Extra have usage allowances but, unlike other mobile broadband providers, you won't be charged a small ransom for exceeding them. In fact, you won't be charged at all. However, you'll probably find your service will slow right down and T-mobile will work with you to find ways to lower your usage or put you on a higher usage plan so getting the right usage allowance in the first place is still a must. With 3GB a month Broadband Plus is a great package for medium users - it will give you 3GB of data to play about with, which is about 24,000 webpages, or 600 music files - and comes with a fair price tag. T-Mobile Broadband Extra comes with a heftier price tag, a 5GB a month allowance and a 24 month contract but the biggest difference is the extra services you'll have access to: you can only access VoIP services like Skype with Extra. What You Get Another great thing about T-Mobile is their free and unlimited access to Wi-Fi hotspots, so you can automatically connect to these on the go without using up your 3GB of data allowance. You can find these hotspots all over the country, including in all branches of Starbucks, so you can enjoy some wireless over a latte. Speed T-Mobile currently advertise speeds of up to 4.5Mb/sec, and they're fairly close to the mark. Speeds will depend on your proximity to your local network, whether or not a load of other people are using the same network, and the time of day. Though you can never expect to reach maximum speed all of the time, you can be assured that it'll be fast enough to do all the things you could normally do, unless you're a hardcore gamer. Is T-Mobile Broadband Plus any good? Yes! If you're not a heavy user, at least. This package is affordable enough for students, but also packs in enough data allowance for those travelling business types who need to snatch a few hours on the train here and there to access the internet. ![]()
