STOP PRESS 2! O2 Broadband is offering a 50 day moneyback guarantee on this package, so you can truly try before you buy!

STOP PRESS 3! Are you switching to O2 mobile to get the iPhone? Or are you an existing O2 pay monthly mobile customer? Then you can get this package for £5 per month cheaper!

ARE you an O2 mobile (Pay Monthly or Pay As You Go) customer?

If so, you are in luck, as you can now get one of the best-value high-speed broadband packages we have ever seen.

Even for non O2 customers, this package is still great value, but when you consider that you'll get £5 off the rack price if your mobile contract is with O2, the package becomes unbelievably low-priced.

Incentive

This O2 Broadband Premium package is clearly designed as a tempting incentive for O2 customers to stick with them.

After all, where else will you get up to 16Mb speeds for the price of a ten quid note?

Be* Network

The O2 broadband packages - of which this O2 Broadband Premium is the middle brother - all use the better known high-speed Be network, which O2 quietly bought out in 2006.

The Be broadband packages still exist and despite their recent price cuts, there is not a lot separating O2 Broadband from Be Broadband anymore.

For more info you can read our recent article 'Which is better: O2 Broadband or Be?'

Free O2 Wireless Box

In addition to the up to 16Mb speeds with unlimited usage (fair use policy applies), the O2 Broadband Premium package also boasts a free O2 wireless box which functions like a wireless router.

O2 Broadband also offers excellent, free UK-based customer support and the package includes the McAfee security suite too.

And with a 50 day moneyback guarantee (the longest moneyback guarantee of any broadband provider by a long shot), you can safely try O2 broadband withouth the fear of being stuck with them for a year even if they are rubbish!

Underpromised then overdelivered

O2 has always under-promised then over-delivered and their broadband packages don't disappoint here either.

If you sign up for this O2 Broadband Premium 16Mb package, or even the O2 Broadband Ultimate 20Mb package, and after a month it looks like you can't reach near the best speeds, O2 will automatically recommend you downgrade to the O2 Broadband Standard 8Mb package instead.

Now which other broadband providers will actively down-sell? We like it.

Clutch of free extras

There are a clutch of extras worth mentioning too, such as the 100 free web texts you can send a month (that alone has a street value equivalent to the price of this package for O2 customers!)

O2 mobile customers will really be pleased with O2 broadband's free email-to-mobile service which sends all your emails to your phone like text messages.

It's like having a Blackberry without the cost of the big bulge in your pocket!

Stop searching

If you are an O2 mobile customer and you are lucky enough to be part of the the 50% of the UK that can receive O2 broadband, you can stop searching!

For non O2 customers, you too can enjoy this package's superb benefits, but be sure to compare this to the equivalent Be package.

Remember though, the price of this package is currently slashed by £5 until the end of April 2008, after which it goes up by a fiver for non-O2 pay monthly customers.

W.Maxwell from Edinburgh writes... 17/04/2008

"Nearly triple the speed of my old ISP for half the cost per month, thats good. Dont waste your time using the set up CD, connect up the router, swich it on and enter the wep password and away you go. Dont install McAfee security software, it caused severe problems with my PC. Works well with Zonealarm security suite. The O2 technical helpline is very good and it's free but god help you if you have a billing problem. When I set up the order I ported my mobile number over to O2 to take advantage of the discount being offered. When the online bill appeared they were charging me £5 too much. After many calls and assurances that it was fixed they still took too much. Suffice to say their billing department are useless. A pity really because it is really an excellent deal."
