THE Post Office Broadband Extra with Homephone bundle package is a combination of the popular Post Office Broadband Extra package along with an excellent home phone option.
While you can read all about the broadband part of this package in our full review of Post Office Broadband Extra, it is the inclusive phonecall add-on that makes this Post Office Broadband package such excellent value.
Line rental included
First and foremost the cost of the line rental you normally pay to BT is included in the monthly fee for this package.
Additionally, the Post Office Homephone package offers unlimited inclusive evening and weekend phonecalls to UK landlines (at up to 60 minutes per call).
During the day, calls are charged at 3p per minute to landlines and 13p per minute to mobiles.
Evening and weekend calls to mobiles will set you back 8p per minute and 5p per minute respectively.
Discount for loved ones
The Post Office Homephone package also offers a rather nice 10% discount on all daytime calls made to 10 of your loved ones.
And going a step better it gives you a 60 minute free call to any of them on their birthday and Christmas day.
Keep existing number
The other bit of good news about this Post Office Homephone package is that you can keep your existing number when switching over to it.
Is it any good?
So is this Post Office Broadband Extra with Homephone any good? It most certainly is, especially when you consider the savings made by the inclusive line rental cost. It is not the cheapest broadband and homephone package, but it is not far off.
And so far, reports of the Post Office broadband service have been very positive indeed.
