WHEN it comes to bundles, Sky is the big daddy of the bundle world, not least because they offer such great flexibility in choosing the perfect combination of phone, broadband and TV options to suit just about every budget and persuasion.

And now, even if you are not within Sky's unbundled broadband area you can still enjoy their bundle packages. For a price.

Rather pricey

This Sky See, Speak & Surf Connect 1 broadband bundle is rather pricey but it does allow users who fall outside of Sky's broadband area to enjoy the See, Speak & Surf bundle.

Huge usage allowance

Your Sky broadband part of the bundle is the Sky Connect package which gives speeds of up to 8Mb with a monstrous monthly usage allowance of 40Gb.

This is one of the largest capped usage amounts we've seen and should be more than enough for even heavyweight downloaders.

Free calls

The Sky home phone option of this bundle is Sky's FreeTime, which gives you free evening and weekend calls to all UK landlines.

Calls at other times are on a par with BT's rates.

While the off-peak phonecalls are free, remember that you will still need to get BT line rental (not just for the phone, for the broadband too), so keep this in mind when comparing this Sky package to other rival broadband bundle providers.

Superior TV

When it comes to TV, Sky has no superior. The Sky TV lot quite simply offer the best selection of digital channels and with this package you get to choose 1 of their 6 'packs' of content:

You can add more Sky TV packs for about an extra £1 a month when you sign up.

As an additional extra each month you can add Sky Sports and/or Sky Movies to your TV package: a Sky sports channel is £9 extra a month, £8 extra for movies but you'll pay less than this when you take more TV packs.

High Definition

They don't like to talk about it much but you can get Sky TV in crystal clear high-definition (or as it's sometimes known: 'celebrity real skin').

As you can see from the price options below, you'll pay an extra £10 per month to have your eyes popped but the Sky+ HD box comes for free.

Without high-definition you'll have to pay a one-off fee of £49 for the Sky+ HD box so if you're umming and ahhing about going high def we'd push you that way - you'll effectively get the first five months free.

Good solution

As a bundle package this offering from Sky may be too expensive for some but if you really want to go with Sky despite not being in their 'unbundled' broadband area, this is a good solution.
