BEFORE Virgin Media and Tiscali jumped on the broadband, phone & TV bandwagon, Sky was the pioneer of the 'tri-play' (broadband, phone and TV) bundle and have always led the way in its flexibility to create a bundle package that'll suit any pocket and any taste.

Very good

This Sky See, Speak & Surf Mid 3 broadband bundle is very, very good value, especially in terms of what you get on the TV front.

The Sky broadband part of the bundle is the mid-range Sky Mid package which offers speeds of up to 8Mb with a 40Gb monthly usage allowance. This should be more than enough for most web users, but if you really need unlimited downloads you should look at the See, Speak & Surf Max bundles.

Evening and weekend calls

The home phone option bundled with this package is Sky's FreeTime, which gives you free evening and weekend calls to all UK landlines.

Remember that you will still need to pay your line rental fee to BT, which - at £11.75 - is something you'll need to mentally add to the cost of this Sky broadband, phone and TV bundle package if you are comparing it to the Virgin Media 3-for-£30 which does not require line rental.

Sky TV choice

The 'See' part of the package is your Sky TV choice and here you get all six of Sky's 'mixes', which include Variety, News & Events, Kids, Music, Knowledge and Style & Culture.

For around 50p per day, you can add Sky Sports or Sky Movies to your TV package. There is also the option to buy the fantastic Sky+ box (currently £99), which is now subscription-free so it is just a one-off charge.

You can also go for the Sky HD Box (which is like the Sky+ box but gives you TV at four times the sharpness of normal) but that is more expensive and has a monthly subscription fee.

Good value

We are great fans of Sky, and when you consider everything you get with this Sky bundle package, it's very good value indeed.

	Sky See + Speak + Surf Mid 3 is currently offering £30 signup fee instead of usual £70 fee.
