WE love Sky's 'See, Speak & Surf' bundle packages, but we concede that sometimes you just don't need the 'speak' part of it, do you?
Keep in mind that by losing the 'speak' part of this package (ie. not taking a home phone option) you will have to pay £60 activation fee instead of the usual £30.
Save a few pounds
This Sky See & Surf Base 2 broadband bundle offers broadband and Sky's superb digital TV, but leaves off the Sky home phone option, saving you a few pounds a month in the process.
Just remember though that despite not including the phone package, you will still need line rental in order to get the Sky broadband.
Rather spartan usage allowance
The Sky broadband part of this bundle is the basic Sky Base broadband which gives speeds of up to 2Mb with a rather spartan monthly usage allowance of just 2Gb.
This ample for basic surfing and emailing but heavier users should look at the Sky See & Surf Mid (8Mb with 40GB usage) or Max (16Mb with unlimited usage) packages instead.
Full choice of TV mixes
The 'See' part of this two-part package is your Sky TV choice, and here you get all six of Sky's 'packs':
- Variety
- News & Events
- Music
- Knowledge
- Kids
- Style & Culture
What makes the Sky broadband bundles great is the ability to add (or remove) other Sky TV 'packs' into your bundle, for just £1 each per month
You can also add Sky Sports and/or Sky Movies to your TV package for as little as an extra 50p per day.
Other optional extras include a Sky+ Box which, at under £100 and now subscription-free, lets you record and store shows to watch back when it suits you; or the more expensive Sky HD Box which delivers your TV picture in jaw-dropping high definition.
There is a monthly charge the HD service though and it'll only work on HD ready TV sets.
Very few complaints
This Sky TV and broadband-only bundle package is great value for money, and we've heard of very few complaints about the service.
