YES, "See, Speak & Surf" has a pleasant ring to it but sometimes the 'speak' part isn't really necessary.

No home phone

This Sky See & Surf Mid 1 broadband bundle offers fast Sky broadband and a quality mix of Sky digital TV channels but dumps the home phone option, saving you a small amount in the process.

Bear in mind, however, that you will still have to have a working BT landline (i.e. be paying monthly line rental elsewhere) to receive this service. For an equivalent service without a phone line try Virgin Media broadband L and TV L.

10GB usage

Your broadband part of the Sky bundle is the speedy Sky Everyday (previously Sky Mid) package which gives speeds of up to 10Mb with a chunky monthly usage allowance of 10Gb, which is more than enough for medium users.

One Sky TV mix

The 'See' part of this two-part package is your Sky TV choice, and here you get to choose 2 of Sky's programming 'packs'. This means you choose one of the available 6 'packs' of Sky TV packages which include music, news, entertainment, kids and others.

If you want more Sky 'packs' to your package, you can add them for a pound per pack. That works out at about 3p per day per mix - not exactly bank-breaking.

There is always the option to add Sky Sports and/or Sky Movies to your TV package but you'll have to pay extra per month for this.

• All 6 TV packs: £38 a month in HD or £28 a month without HD.
• 1 TV pack plus Sky Sports 1-4: £56 a month in HD or £46 a month without HD.
• 3 TV packs plus Sky movies 1: £48 a month in HD or £38 a month without HD.
• All 6 TV packs plus Sky sports 1-4 and Sky movies 1 and 2: £68.50 a month in HD or £58.50 a month without HD.

Optional HD

If you are feeling really posh, you can upgrade to Sky+ HD: it does everything that normal Sky TV does, only in jaw-dropping high-definition.

As you can see above, you'll pay £10 extra month for high quality TV but the Sky+ HD box is currently free when you sign up online.

If you don't go for HD you'll have to pay a £49 one-off fee for the Sky+ HD Box so you're effectively getting free HD for the first five months.

Make sure you have a HD-ready TV, though!

Excellent value for money

As a TV and broadband-only bundle package this is excellent value for money and certainly holds its own against Sky arch-rival Virgin Media.
