SUPERMARKET giant Tesco's broadband package is a simple, no frills affair so you'd expect it to be decently priced.
No such luck, we're afraid.
Tardy
Tesco's broadband connection speed here is a way-below-par 512kb which - 7 years ago - was considered zippy but today looks a bit tardy next the substantially higher speeds of the competition, like Be, O2 Broadband, Virgin Media, Sky and UKOnline
Free modem
On the plus side, the Tesco broadband package includes a free modem and connection as well as 50MB of webspace to build your own website but you are tied to a 12-month contract period.
Saving grace
As you would expect for a price like this, there are no download limits on this Tesco broadband package which is just about its only saving grace.
