TOUCAN'S overly strict fair use policy has caused it all manner of problems, not least a tirade of angry users swamping every customer review site on the web.
Restricted
The source of their ire? While Toucan claims to be unlimited, its fair use policy restricts you to just 1GB of data usage per week during peak hours.
Anyone falling short of that gets their Toucan broadband connection 'throttled' and as a result, their broadband speeds take on the characteristics of dial-up!
If you are not a heavy peak time user though, the Toucan 8Mb Broadband and ToucanTalk 2-for-All package is not a bad one.
2p per minute
It is a low cost 8Mb broadband package complete with a free modem (12 month contract applies however) as well as a bundled Toucan home phone package that includes free weekend calls to UK landlines and only 2p per minute to landlines at all other times.
To be eligible for this Toucan broadband package you must take your line rental with Toucan. This is nothing to worry about though, as the cost of Toucan's line rental is currently the cheapest in Britain.
Now all Toucan need to do is sort out that ridiculously restrictive fair use policy.
